The Kitten Harness

This kitten Harness steps away from bulky buckles and makes use of a cleverly designed size adjusting mechanism, ensuring a perfect fit without restricting your little kitten’s movements. Lightweight and supportive, it embraces the chest and back while leaving armpits and shoulder blades unhindered.

The kitten harness is ideal for the young learners (around 2 months of age) up to 1 year, then smoothly transition to our adult cat harness for continued support as your feline friend grows stronger.

To adjust in size, hold the harness in front of you, so you are facing the top. Loosen the bow tie and carefully pull on the two strings at the left part of the harness. Centre the leather chest support of the harness by carefully sliding it along the two strings. Re-tie the bow at the top of the harness to secure the perfect fit. Harness Introduction: When introducing your kitten to a harness, it’s crucial to proceed gently and patiently. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help your kitten get comfortable with wearing a harness for adventures and travels:

• Start Slowly: Begin by showing the harness to your kitten without putting it on. Allow them to sniff and explore it, associating it with positive experiences such as treats or playtime.
• Short Training Sessions: Keep the initial training sessions brief. Reward your kitten with their favorite treats or a fun game to create positive associations with the harness.
• Gentle Introduction: When you first put the harness on, expect some resistance. It’s normal for your kitten to feel unsure about something new. Ensure the harness fits snugly but not too tightly, avoiding excessive pressure on their body.
• Positive Reinforcement: Reward your kitten with small treats they enjoy while they wear the harness. If they show curiosity rather than fear, supervise them for about a minute and engage in a game they like to get them thinking of something else. Then, gently remove the harness.
• Gradual Increase: Gradually increase the time your kitten wears the harness, ensuring they remain comfortable and unafraid. If your kitten shows signs of fear, take a step back and give them more time to adjust.
• Monitor Comfort: Always ensure your kitten is comfortable and never force them into the harness. The key is to make wearing the harness a positive and exciting experience associated with treats and playtime.

For the suede lining of this harness it is advised to only use the 1909 Supreme Protect Spray and not to use the leather lotion on the suede.

! This kitten harness is not suitable for large breeds such as Maine Coons or Savannah cats, as these kittens often reach the size of an average adult cat within just a few months of age.
